This applies, for example, to traces left behind and read when visiting a website, reading an e-mail, installing or using software or a mobile application, regardless of the type of terminal used, such as a computer, smartphone, e-reader or video game console connected to the Internet.

The term ‘cookie’ covers, for example :

  • HTTP cookies ;
  • flash’ cookies ;
  • the result of the fingerprint calculation in the case of ‘fingerprinting’ (calculation of a unique identifier for the machine based on elements of its configuration for tracing purposes);
  • invisible pixels or web bugs;
  • any other identifier generated by software or an operating system, for example.
2. Why does ADICTIZ use cookies?

ADICTIZ may use cookies for various purposes:

  • Our technical tracers essential to your browsing: These tracers are necessary to store data relating to the user’s session (visit) on the website, in order to guarantee optimum service.
  • Our advertising trackers: These trackers enable us to learn about your Internet browsing habits so that we can offer you advertising content tailored to your areas of interest and help us to evaluate the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns. The information collected may be shared with third parties in order to implement audience targeting and optimisation solutions for advertisers and publishers.
  • Our browsing analysis tracers: These tracers enable us to create and gather information relating to your use of our site, such as: the number of visits, the pages viewed, the sections visited, the duration of the session, the reference sources and the searches carried out.

ADICTIZ may use its various trackers on its website, available in a mobile version, and on its application for mobile devices.

In connection with the use of these tools, ADICTIZ uses a number of suppliers who may also place cookies on your device on our behalf when you visit our sites to enable them to provide their services.

Partner name: Google Analytics

Proprietary cookies

Google Analytics collects proprietary cookies as well as data relating to the IP address, the device or browser, and the activities carried out on the site or within the application, in order to measure user interactions on websites and/or in applications that use Google Analytics, and to generate reports on these statistics. Customers can customise cookies and the data collected using features such as cookie settings, User-ID, data import and measurement protocol. Read more

Google Analytics clients who have activated, for example, the analytics.js or gtag.js collection method can choose whether or not to use cookies in order to store a pseudonymous or random client identifier. If they choose to do so, the information stored in the local proprietary cookie is reduced to a random identifier (for example, 12345.67890).

For customers who use the Google Analytics for Apps SDK, we collect an application instance identifier, which is a randomly generated number when the user installs an application.

Advertising identifiers

If the customer chooses to take advantage of Google Analytics advertising features, Google advertising cookies are collected and used to enable certain features such as remarketing on the Google Display Network. These features are subject to user-defined ad settings, the Google Analytics Advertising Features Policy, and Google’s EU Consent Policy, which requires clients (where required by law) to obtain users’ permission to use cookies and serve personalised ads. For more information on how Google uses these advertising cookies, see the Google Advertising Privacy Policy FAQ. It is possible to implement Google Analytics without affecting the normal collection of data in cases where advertising functionalities have been deactivated until the user’s consent has been obtained.

IP address
The collection of IP addresses enables Google Analytics to determine the geolocation of a visitor and to provide a secure service to our customers. Customers can apply IP address masking so that Google Analytics uses only part of the IP address collected, rather than all of it. In addition, customers can override IP addresses at their discretion using our ‘IP Override’ feature.
